  1. Kusac says:

They should have added: “Shh! It’s a secret, don’t tell anyone else!” or maybe “If you find out about it, we’ll kill you!”

  2. It’s a museum, as denoted by the museum symbol.

  3. Ophelia says:

    ahahaha this is in scotland!

  4. UKSponge360 says:

I think this should be on Friends of Irony

  5. CK159 says:

Then proceed to enter by turning the combo lock to 4-3-2-1, opening the blast door, and finally telling the armed guard inside that Ted sent you.
Once inside, feel free to check out the top secret weapons testing programs of the day, or watch the ever-popular horde of scientists pour over classified documents. On your way out, don’t forget to pick up your complimentary nuclear launch key under the mat in radar compartment #6.

  6. Gemenon says:

What happens in the bunker STAYS in the bunker.

  7. JRR says:

That is in Singapore. Been there.

    • N/A says:

You’re only off by a few thousand miles. It’s in Fife. Next time you want to claim that you’ve been somewhere you clearly haven’t you might at least try googling.

    • psst says:

Theres also one in Cheshire that I’ve been past a hundred times.
Next time you want to shoot someone down on the internet, remember the world is a big place.

    • troll says:

I’m sure there’s also one in Essex

    • Snakeydan says:

Yup Kelvadon Hatch…Though this sing isnt for that one because i drive past daily, and there isnt a sign saying 180 yards 🙂

  8. Responder says:

    Secret bunker is secr….oh crap!

  9. Stephen says:

Actually this is not far from my house. The point is that it WAS secret up until about ten years ago; then it was surplus to requirements, and sold off. The eventual owner turned it into a tourist attraction – but I can promise you that until then, nobody had any idea it existed!

  10. Sarge says:

    One of George W. Bush’s lesser-known screwups.

  11. Robert says:

i live about an hour and a half away from it. visited it.

  12. Seibee says:

Secret bunker is not so secret. Just a museum. But it still looks funny.

  13. Lindsey says:

I submitted this picture, yes it’s a museum now. This sign is in the Northwest of England, but I’m sure there are similar signs all over Great Britain

  14. NoR says:

In the words of Admiral Ackbar, “It’s a trap!”

  15. Ophelia says:

The one in Scotland got broken into, and the guy held a one-man siege. funniest thing in the world.

  17. romalisha says:

Ahh!! A sign for Hack Green Nuclear Bunker… tagline ‘Duck and Cover.’

Yes that was the absolutely (dead?) serious government advice to the UK public on what to do in the event of nuclear attack.

    A very weird place.

  18. marylittlegoth says:

There’s at least a dozen of them across Britain, there’s two within 30 miles of where I live!

  19. tahrey says:

Quite possibly Kelvedon Hatch, and people have been making this “joke” around the internet for about fifteen doggam years now.,0.22522&spn=0.873987,0.883026&z=10&iwloc=A

Though there are a couple others, as mentioned, in Cheshire and in Scotland.

  20. Zak says:

There’s actually one in Harwich too, not just Scotland.

  21. monnanon says:

I would say this probably is the one in Fife becase that one was rather imaginativly called “the secret bunker” It looks more like one of the scottish tourist signs than the english ones. Don’t all the English tourist signs have a fancy rose design on them? I’ve not been to England for a while and can’t remember properly lol

  22. Not Required says:

Staffordshire, on road to Woore from A34.

I know because I made the V shaped dent in it with a gardening tool a few years back.
