Never mind getting it off the wall, how would you get it through security?
Property of airport? What, the sticker, the mirror, or the sink?
it looks like people have tried to remove the sign as well
you’re kidding right? aren’t bathroom fixtures like the sewing kit & teensy shampoos?
They get those things pinched a lot? They’re not exactly inconspicuous…
I think perhaps they mean the tap. I have heard of people removing taps in hotels while on vacation as kind of trophies or as revenge when they thought the hotel mistreated them. So maybe people do it in airports, too?
yeah go through the scanner “what ,that? no I brought it from home .I always take mine with me.”
Are you try to smuggle a sink in your pocket…or just happy to see me?
actually, i’ve been to the BWI airport, and this sign is placed next to a “nice” vase with a rose in it that is not nailed down. the sign merely encouraged me to think about stealing the vase, but i didn’t have room in my luggage.
Gosh, anyone would know they’re reffering to the sticker
i submitted this pic 🙂 it was actually taken in a bathroom past security, so there wouldnt have been a problem getting it through the scanners…. 😉
Oh, and Sarah there wasn’t anything on the counter, in all my years of using BWI i have never seen any vases on the counters??
I have to wonder if such a sign is an effective deterrent against the kinds of people who would steal sinkware in the first place.
Well, the saying does go “everything but the [kitchen] sink.”
@stam, of course you havent seen it, thats why they had to put the sign up
hahaha someone stole the vase! priceless.
The thing that I’m noticing is..
Whose fat stomach is hanging over the sink?!
I understand those bathrooms are tiny but really?
Yeah, I noticed the stomach to. Eww.
As a native of Baltimore, I am going to say, the people of this city needs more than sinks. Perhaps, they need to get clean and are taking it to one of the board up rowhouses – you know, to improve real estate value compared to the other homeless people.
@Swagatha @Benjj it was a coat (being held, not worn) being pushed up against the sink
A deep psychological conundrum occurs when the bathroom-goer ponders the possibility that the “DO NOT REMOVE” sticker is actually referring to not removing the sticker.
After pondering this for quite some time, he or she will inevitably give up and walk away, taking the sink as a consolation prize.
In order for this sign to have been put up, Im assuming that someone has tried to take the sink
They can take everything but the kitchen sink… okay, bathroom sink…
as a frequent flier out of BWI, this sign cracks me up EVERY TIME. I’m not sure if it’s referring to the vase or the faucet, or the mirror (which would be an incredible feat)… but whichever way, it’s hilarious.
