  5. Seibee says:

    What about guns?

  6. Emily says:

In my hometown, all of the sketchiest bars have signs that say “no knives.” That’s exactly how you know which bars are most likely to have people with knives in them.

  7. yos-wa says:

yeaaaaah! KC Metro!! i’m riding on that all the time.

  8. Bel says:

RCW 9A.36.011 simply defines what first degree assault is, so somebody’s playing around. I’d like to know where this sign is supposed to be.

  9. DrPluton says:

    I prefer bludgeoning anyway.

  10. Anonymous says:

This from the same KC Metro that brought us:

Teen beaten in transit tunnel; Metro reviews policies

  11. hillbilly deluxe says:

dude, i live in king county and ride the metro…
they should post this in more places

  12. jay says:

at least it doesnt say “stabbing is fine”

  14. Ian says:

After the “gang rape prohibited” signs, I’m starting to thinks someone’s really having fun screwing with METRO.
    Maybe I should join in.

  15. Dredsina says:

    I feel worried.

I ride the King County Metro every day. O_O

  16. killerofthesky says:

*puts down dagger* Fine then. I didn’t want to go… wherever this is… anyway. I’ll just go elsewhere… like a ninja/pirate fight or something. *pout*

  17. Shep33 says:

Great. I wore my stabbin’ pants for nothing.

  18. Gabe says:

haha sweet, I submitted this one! A few feet away was also a sign that read “no urinating”…

  19. cinderkeys says:

    I feel safer already.

  20. FAIL Shirt says:

If they need to put that kind of sign up then that clearly means that you should get as far away from that place as possible!

  21. bushputz says:

Does this make the stabbee an accomplice? What’s the penalty?

  22. Tayler says:

    These are all funny,
    until you find one that’s
    right in your neighborhood.
    Yay, we’re dumb.

  23. Rey says:

Aha! KC metro! They finally decided to tell ppl about this rule!

  24. knifeblocked says:

guess I’ll have to switch to plan B and start shooting…

  25. Trevor says:

I’m a Metro driver and I’ve never seen this sign. where is it? Also RCW 9A.36.011 does not specifically say “stabbing prohibited”.
    RCW 9A.36.011
    Assault in the first degree.

    (1) A person is guilty of assault in the first degree if he or she, with intent to inflict great bodily harm:

    (a) Assaults another with a firearm or any deadly weapon or by any force or means likely to produce great bodily harm or death; or

    (b) Administers, exposes, or transmits to or causes to be taken by another, poison, the human immunodeficiency virus as defined in chapter 70.24 RCW, or any other destructive or noxious substance; or

    (c) Assaults another and inflicts great bodily harm.

    (2) Assault in the first degree is a class A felony.

  26. Black★Rock Scooter says:

Well, stabbing sometimes causes great bodily harm.

  27. Anne says:

maybe they should change it to “Watching someone have the shit kicked out of them and not doing anything about it while being paid on a government contract prohibited. “

  28. Bertah says:

I guess they shouldn’t have been so vague…or at least made the list inclusive of harassing the security patrol…

  29. CGreen says:

There should be another sign saying little low life scum bag bullies will not be protected from the consequences of their abusive behavior.

An aside for those that depend upon their nanny state to feed house cloth and protect them. The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the police are under no legal obligation to protect or defend anyone. So maybe you should consider taking personal responsibility for your own safety and well being.

  30. Devil Dan says:

Tey should also put up a “NO GETTING STABBED” sign.

  31. tehreporter says:

Wait! It didn’t say Simon Says!

  32. OneWithRussia says:

What?! This is news to me! D:

  33. David JF says:

what they should have is a “no crackheads pissing their pants before getting on the bus!!!!” I swear why do all the crackheads in all of seattle hang out on 3rd in westlake?!

  34. Nick says:

… but shooting is perfectly fine!

  35. rafael says:

Stabbing allowed in specially designated stabbing areas only
