Sounds legit to me. Anyone else want a Faux-lex?

More ironic finds here.

As opposed to those fake fake watches they sell in jewelry stores!

  2. Greg says:

When I went to Goa, India there was a “Genuine Fake Leather” shop.

  3. Altrissa says:

What’s a fake fake watch? Just a piece of plastic with some numbers painted on?

  4. SteveMuzik says:

    I can only afford a Dime-ex.

  5. Biri says:

If I remember this correctly (someone once explained it to me), those are fairly good watches (i.e. they’re not crappy) that are made to look like the famous brands like Rolex, and it’s legal to sell them as long as you put up the notice that they’re not, in fact, the real deal. In this way, people can buy a “Rolex” for a fraction of a price of a real Rolex and not worry that it’d crap out on them ten days later.

  6. Sam says:

lol, i saw this in turkey 2 years ago. ironically, they sold turksish delight next door

  7. RiderLeangle says:

Sam… Why are you buying watches next to a whore-house?

  8. DottyB says:

When I was in Italy they were selling fake everything at the flea markets, sidewalk shops and on the street. A lot around Treve’ Fountain. (sorry for the spelling) I was told there was no law against it there. But,if asked, the salesperson would say not real. I brought home several bags and wallets. All with the famous names in them. It really impressed the recievers! Never told them…LOL

  9. FAIL Shirt says:

LOL, at least they are being straight up honest!

  10. DR. Mike says:

    ..an Absurdly Sincere Sign…

  11. Lara says:

That’s definitely shopped. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were signs saying that, but that looks really shopped.

  12. Shep33 says:

Its pronounced “FAH’ KAY”…Its french…and these are just clearly just cheap imitations.

  13. Nathan says:

Yeah, that’s in a bazaar at Turkey. Sister bought one.

  14. Mina says:

Thank God! I’m always being shunned for my fake fake watches. Now I can buy the genuine fake article and be in with the B crowd! 😀

  15. Kim says:

It’s probably somewhere in the Middle East. It’s the only place I’ve ever seen where they actually have levels of “fake”:

Fake Fake — flimsy watch, stops working 20 minutes after you buy it.
Good Fake — watch works, but if you know what you’re looking for, you can tell it’s not really a Rolex (or whatever).
Real Fake — only a jeweler can tell it’s a fake.

No joke, I actually had a seller tell me “No, no, those watches there, they are fake fakes. This is real fake.”

  16. Ted says:

wait are the watches fake or just this picture?

  17. Robert says:

And for the ultimate in FAKE fake fakes…

  18. Robert says:

And for those who prefer sound only, the same thing!
