  1. Andy says:

I think the center of those signs look about 3 meters apart…

  2. Clyde says:

Yup, I’m betting on meters too.

  3. przxqgl says:

yes, the “m” definitely stands for metres, not miles…

but this blog is one of the most interestingly bizarre places i have ever found, and it’s going on my RSS agregator immediately… in fact i’ve got a photo or two that i might submit as well. 8)

  4. VDOgamez says:

I don’t get this one. Is it funny because they put two right next to each other?

  5. Sonictoast says:

wow, mcdonalds is getting MORE and MORE desperate for more customers…

  6. NP says:

This is great, but would never fly in the US, as most of us are morons and wouldn’t get the humor or the math.

  7. ko58 says:

    begs the question:

    “Are we there yet?”

  8. Hapqy says:

Huh. So McDonalds advertising hoardings are only slightly more common than McDonalds outlets.

  9. Steve says:

    speak for yourself NP!!
(It’s funny because both arrows are pointing sideways, right?)

  10. kvweber says:

So, does that mean that it’s relatively close? Because meters aren’t that large; it would be far weirder to see mileage instead. 😄

  11. Shep333 says:

Perhaps there are 2 McDonalds 3 meters apart right down the road as well. My head would burst with amusement if that were the case.

  12. Clever Name Here says:

We’re so close I can almost taste the greasebal– er, burgers…

  13. Josua says:

I think I have seen this in Germany, it’s real.^^

  14. Mower says:

    I think the M stands for McDonalds … ^^

  15. Semper_Nihil says:

Are those painted on garage doors?

Definitely 3 meters apart (center to center)…

  16. Semper_Nihil says:

Nevermind, second look says they are most likely not garages…

  17. him says:

I think the first one is measured from the left side and the right one is measured from the right side

  18. Malake256 says:

couldn’t they have used the $ for the second sign on starving kids instead?

    • Nit Pic says:

You are absolutely correct. Just the same as you could get a part time job and give the earnings to any number of charitable organizations. Or perhaps instead of wasting time on trivial websites, complaining about corporate greed, and injustice in the world, you could better use your time volunteering for a just cause, and since you wouldn’t need your computer anymore, you could sell it and donate the proceeds to yet another charitable cause.

I’m just throwing out some alternative options, since it seems like you are a generous person, or is it that you are only generous and well meaning with other peoples money.

  19. Nick says:

    “m” is metres.
    “mi” is miles.

    • Nit Pic says:

      “mid” is mobile internet device.
“midi” is musical instrument digital interface.
      “midie” meaning: unknown.
      “midiev” meaning: unknown.
      “midieva” meaning: unknown.
“midieval” the age I would have preferred to live in.

  20. Bryn says:

Actually, I think I saw a similar sign while on vacation in Italy a few summers ago. It might have been somewhere near the Spanish Steps in Rome, but I’m not sure.
