At least the motor home and snowmobile avoided their otherwise inevitable head-on collision by driving into vertical tarmac instead.

That’s actually rather vague…. “semi” deactivated?

It should read “Semi-permanantly-currently-probably-maybe-ocassionally-momentarily Deactived”, just to limit the possible confusion.

  6. RJMac says:

“semi-deactivated” is shorthand for “the bridge is washed out ahead but if you have a car like the one in Smokey and the Bandit you may be able to jump over the river and escape”. But it’s much shorter to put on a sign.

I can explain the term “semi-permanently”. See eternity? Cut it in half. Hence the term, “semi-permanently”.

  8. Nathan says:

second, it’s probably one of those racing tracks for little toy cars.
